Pipet bầu là gì? Gợi ý địa chỉ pipettes mua sản phẩm uy tín, chất lượng

Along with straight droppers, bulb pipettes are also one of the types of pipettes commonly used in experiments, providing high accuracy in solution distribution. Join EGroup Chemicals to better understand this tool through the article below.

What is a bulb pipette?

A bulb pipette is one of the two main types of graduated pipettes, composed of a hollow glass tube with a round bulb in the middle of the tool. The product’s capacity is written on the round bulb.

This type of dropper usually has a 2-line bulb type or a single-line type, depending on the user’s needs.

Instructions on how to use a pipette can be done by anyone

1. For non-graded glass pipettes (Pasteur)

  • Just squeeze a small amount of pressure at the rubber or plastic tip, then dip it into the solution to be sucked and release your hand to let the solution be sucked up.
  • Next, to be able to drip the solution out, squeeze with small force to form small drops
  • After use, they can be sterilized and thrown away or reused by cleaning, then pulling back the nozzle and sealing with heat.
  • Note:
  • Release all the foam first if foam appears
  • Squeeze gently to let each drop drop
  • During the procedure, keep the pipette in an upright position

2. For graduated pipettes

2.1. Glass type (can be reused after cleaning and sterilization)

  • Use your dominant hand to hold the pipette with your thumb and middle finger, and use your index finger to cover the tip of the tool
  • Use a squeeze ball or dropper aid to draw the solution into the pipettes up to the required line
  • Then remove the rubber bulb and close the top with your index finger
  • Hold the tool in an upright position and then gently open the index finger to make adjustments to the zero or specified line
  • Drop the solution into the flask or test tube up to the specified line
  • Depending on the type of pipette, you can release it completely or drop it to the bottom line or blow after releasing it.
  • Note:
  • You need to choose a product suitable for the volume of solution to be sucked, do not use one with a chipped tip
  • Insert the lower end of the tool deeply into the solution. The solution to be absorbed in a large capacity container needs to be transferred to another container with a smaller amount of solution. The remainder after using the dropper to collect must not be poured back into the original bottle.
  • The pipette should be rinsed at least twice with the desired solution before use
  • The middle of the pipettes is in a vertical position when the solution flows from this tool into the container, its lower end touches the wall of the receiving vessel in an inclined position.
  • Let the solution flow freely into the bottle, do not use a rubber bulb or other aid to push out the last drop remaining at the tip of the tool to avoid creating aerosols.
  • Wash them after use and perform the necessary procedures for reuse
  • For products that need to be dried and sterilized after use, use small forceps to first take out the cotton and soak it in a glass cleaning solution, then wash, dry and carefully package it for use. next time.

It is important to choose a pipette that is not cracked to ensure effectiveness and safety when experimenting

2.2. With sterile plastic graduated type (can be used once)

  • Usage is similar to the glass graduated pipette, but after use, it must be washed, dried and destroyed.

3. Semi-automatic pipette (Micropipet)

3.1. With low viscosity solution

  • Set the volume to be taken
  • Insert the tip into the pipette head
  • Hold it along the direction of the liquid intake. Note, during use, keep an upright position.
  • Slowly press the plunger down on button 1 and release slowly to allow the liquid to be sucked in
  • After pressing down on step 1, press down on step 2 to push the liquid out. Be sure to let the tip of the tip touch the wall of the jar and keep the tool in a vertical position.

3.2. With high viscosity solution

  • Proceed to set the volume to be taken
  • Insert the tip into the tip of the pipettes and then press the plunger down on the cap 2
  • Insert the tip into the surface of the liquid and release the plunger slowly to let the liquid into the tip
  • Remove the tool from the container, touching the tip to the wall of the container to remove excess solution
  • Press the plunger slowly down to step 1 to drop the solution into the receiving vessel (keep the pipettes vertical with the receiving vessel).

3.3. Note

  • Do not use to draw up amounts of solution that exceed the specified value range for that type of pipette
  • Suction should be performed once to cover the required amount of solution
  • The larger the dropper type, the higher the error rate.
  • The immersion depth of the tool should only be about 1-3 mm from the tip to the surface of the liquid to be transferred.

3.4. Factors affecting the pipette’s ability to draw accurately

  • Tip: When the tip is not of good quality, it will greatly affect the dropper’s ability to suck accurately. Therefore, they need to be clean, the inside of the tip needs to be smooth, solid, straight, and waterproof.
  • Fluid viscosity: the type of pipette used to suck up liquids with high viscosity such as blood, plasma, serum must be a different type from the products used to suck up water.
  • Temperature: is the most important factor affecting the volume of liquid distributed by the thermal expansion of the substances. Production pipettes are typically applied at room temperature (20 – 25 degrees Celsius)
  • Atmospheric pressure: the higher you go, the lower the atmospheric pressure is. However, this only has a small effect on the change in liquid density, so the error due to barometric pressure is insignificant and is often ignored.
  • Humidity: suitable humidity for using droppers ranges from 45 – 75%. This factor has a great influence on the pipette’s ability to draw accurately because when the humidity is low (below 30%), the evaporation rate will increase, whereas if the humidity is too high, the ability to condense the liquid will also increase.

4. Fully automatic pipetting

  • Set the amount of solution to be aspirated
  • Install one or more tips into positions
  • Next, plug in the solution that needs to be sucked and press the suction button
  • Place it in the receiving bottle and press the button, the solution will be released

Note:

  • Set the amount of solution to be aspirated at the allowable and necessary range
  • It is necessary to check the battery level before use to avoid the tool stopping while performing the process
  • Attach tips to prevent incorrect volume aspiration
  • Perform regular pipette calibration

What do the symbols on glass pipettes mean?

On standard glass pipettes there are always symbols that tell the user what information they need to know. Refer to the meanings of some basic symbols in the following table:

Symbol

Meaning

A

Class A pipettes, highly accurate

AS

The type has high accuracy but has a waiting time and will usually be from 5 – 15 seconds. This means that after releasing it all, you need to wait another 5 seconds or 15 seconds for the solution to flow out of the pipette according to the prescribed rate.

B

Belongs to class B with low accuracy

20 oC

Standard temperature for correct volume

Ex

Shows that the pipette has been adjusted to deliver the volume it represents

Ex + … S

Waiting time to pull enough solution out of the pipette. Usually available in AS type pipettes

Share effective ways to clean pipettes

To clean the pipette, you need to pour distilled water solution into this tool and tilt the solution so that all surfaces in the product are cleaned. Do this step at least twice, then use distilled water to rinse the entire dropper.
